PacioliAI

The release of large language models facilitated the creation of several copilot products for different verticals (e.g. law, software engineering, medicine, etc.). PacioliAI mirrors these new products in that it is a copilot for auditors. PacioliAI currently automates AP three-way match testing, a tedious and time-consuming auditing test that involves matching unstructured data across hundreds or even thousands of documents. By taking on the heavy lifting of audit processes, PacioliAI aims to empower auditors and shift their focus to edge case testing and other more critical tasks.

Very quickly after creating our MVP, we had discussions with many accountants in the auditing space and a Fortune 500 company. While we received positive feedback from independent accounting firms, they weren't as interested in using our product as Fortune 500 companies were.

We secured a meeting with AAR Corp, a Fortune 500 company that is one of the largest manufacturers of bearings in the world. However, due to how new large language models were at the time, and how early stage we were, we were unable to secure a contract with them.
