ERC20 Token

Around the same time I was building my mining rig (March 2021, read more about my rig here), I also found myself interested in experimenting with and learning how to create my own token on top of the Ethereum network.

I started reading into the ERC20 protocol and found I could create a widely accepted token by writing a single smart contract in Solidity. I created the ERC20 contract for my token, gave it the imaginative name TestCoin, deployed it to Ethereum's Ropsten Test Network, and tested it by sending several thousand tokens between a few different wallets for fun.
